Today sees the launch of a double update from Albert: two simple and super-handy new features have been added to help you invoice that little bit faster.
The first is a duplicating function, allowing you to copy existing invoices with ease to create new ones for repeat customers - we know you’ve been crying out for this one. The second allows you to search your contacts through the app, helping you find the details to send your payment requests. Designed to save you time and unnecessary hassle when you are on-the-go, these functions will make your invoicing truly seamless.
New feature #1 – duplicate an existing invoice
With our new duplicating fixture, you can get your invoices to repeat customers faster than ever. The function works as follows:
Find an old invoice containing the information you need.
Tap ‘More’ in the bottom right hand corner, and tap 'duplicate' to create a new invoice.
The new date will automatically be added.
A new invoice number will be automatically generated.
All remaining data from the previous invoice will be carried over and is easily amendable.
So, if you’re a busy freelance musician, for example, and every month you perform a gig for the same venue, with same rates, you don’t need to create invoices again and again. You can now simply duplicate a previous invoice and hit the send button.

This newly created invoice will in no way affect the back-up filing of the previous invoice. Handy for those with returning customers and jobs, you can send multiple, recurring invoices without the frustration of the repetitive admin.
New feature #2 – search your phonebook for contacts
This brand new feature links your contact list to Albert, allowing you to access and search through your phonebook for key client details already on your device. Gone are the days of shuffling between phone applications for a simple email address.
You can access all the contact information you need straight through the app. Your process will now be smooth, straightforward and seamless, saving you time and unnecessary frustration.
